Simple Changes

I've made some changes to my little sock doll. I thought I'd share what she looks like now, but I'm still not finished with her.

Thought I would remove the yard hair. Instead I just picked out the fibers of the sock which gave her a bit of kinky fine baby hair. I gave her a pacifier too! Now she's well contented, but she still needs her clothes and a blanket.

Quite a difference, right?

Oh, not good.

Guess we can all use changes from time to time........Blessings dear ones

Have a Wonderful Week Friends

I pray your Sunday has been beautiful.  Mine certainly was, with Pastor's Appreciation day being today, then with fun, food and fellowship after this mornings service, made it a very blessed day indeed. We also witnessed a young couple in our church home whom have had a very ruff past five years renew their wedding vows before God and thier church family.  Of course, I was thrilled to have all my children and all but, two of my grandchildren in church with me today......that always does my heart a world of good, even little Audrey was there with us. She is getting sweet as a butterball, smiling and trying her best to talk at just a little under one month old. This meme wants to say ....slow down just a wee bit little one.

So what are you plans for the week. Since I'm feeling some better than last week, I've planned to go stay with my parents a few days. They'll be picking me up on Tuesday.  It'll be fun to be away for a bit, and spending time with mama and daddy is always a treat. For those of you who do your wash on Monday, heres a sweet image with a good word of advice.  Monday was always wash day for me, once upon a time. Now days my daughter does most of my laundry.  What a blessing, but I do miss hanging out a washing.  It was a pleasant thing for me to do.....on a good day!

This picture below is just a sweet one of my three oldest children when they were small. I found it in a box of old photos and just had to take it out for awhile.  I sure miss those little ones, but I'm proud of the grownups they've become.

I Love Yarn Day

Today is national I love yarn day. How about that, I didn't even know there was such a thing :) However, I do love yarn for many reasons, crocheting being my number one reason, so I've decided to celebrate " I love yarn day" here on my blog!

I'll be working on some crochet projects today and listening to some beautiful worship music, along with my other doings.  I need to take it a little easier today anyway, as I've had a busy couple of weeks. Howbeit, its been a very good business, but my body says ......slow down please!

Here I'm sharing some of my finished crochet projects, accept for this first one, I still have some rounds left on it, and that could be what I'll be working on today.

Happy Autumn

Today is the first day of Autumn......I'm very happy about that!

I may have over done it a bit with the images,but as I said......I'm happy for Autumn!

I love wearing hats and this one is a favorite.....are you a hat person or no?

This was my choice last Easter....I always wear a hat on Easter Sunday.

In this picture my son had just took his new hat off and gave it to his granddaddy. That made me proud.

And if you have a tea party...one must wear a hat indeed! My friend Betty and I are so over due for a picnic...its been to long.

Thankful

The season is really starting to show its colors around us now. I can look out my little kitchen window and see reds,browns, and even bright yellows that I can't remember ever being this bright in years past. So pretty....the trees are really showing out this year...to my delight  :)

This time of the year really makes me even more thankful for my humble mobile cottage. Somewhere to nest and stay warm from the much colder nights and chilly days. Its a good time to keep a pot of  soup steaming on the stove and homemade bread baking in the oven. If my oven wasn't on the blink.

The cooler nights, can really make one appreciate a warm bed even more so than at any other time.

And a good book as well!

My daughter has her knitting needles working again, maybe she is working on someone a nice Christmas gift :)

This time of the year always gets me thinking back on holidays...many moons ago.

Makes me think happy memories of holidays , spent with Grandma and Papa, they are spending their holidays in heaven now.
