FAITH REMAINS

Pinterest
As a fellow blogger, and a Christian....I just had to share this post from another blog.....it really brings home that all we love to share here on our blogs....big things, little things, important matters, sometimes fun silly things.... family, homes, all that we own an give time and care too.....can just in an instant...the blink of an eye...be gone. Then only remains our faith....those things eternal...not temporary. Go here and read of one woman's amazing faith in God. It touched me and encouraged me that when all seems lost, yet when we know in whom we believe...there remains faith....there remains hope!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.  2 Timothy 1:12

Good Friday Blessings

Remembering my Lord on this  "Good Friday"  What he did...he did for all! His body broken, his blood spilled. Good for our souls, but Oh,the suffering he endured.....because he first loved us.
OH, WHAT A SAVIOR

Have a Heart

My grandson Isaiah raked leaves for me ,and left me a heart  :)

I found this beautiful pot at the charity shop in town....I scrubbed it up,and now I am attempting to sprout hyacinth in it,as well as the little blue pot near the lamp. My mama gave me the zebra...I thought he looks cute among the plant life....kinda like he is in the jungle  :)   The little burlap bear was a gift from my friend Betty for Christmas, isn't he cute?

I leave this flicker light burning day and night...makes for a cosy feeling in my home.

At the cross where I first saw the light...his light!

I think we are bonding and forming a great companionship  :)  Snowie and I !

I pray you all have a blessed weekend and a beautiful Lord's Day on Sunday. The sun is shining so pretty here today and the temps are very nice.....I would love to be out and about browsing some flea market grounds somewhere today.....I do miss those kind of outings.  Blessings, Shelley

Let there always be a CHRISTmas

Among the many isles of Christmas decorations at, Walmart that gigantic SuperCenter that is becoming more and more one of my most unfavoured places to shop....I looked and looked to see if any sign of Christ was to be found. There were stockings, bells, balls, bows, glitz and glitter, and the like, but where was the Christ child of Christmas? Santa's, reindeer, Rudolf, bags, wrapping paper, fake snow, candy canes, and blinking lights, but where was the Nativity of Christ? I begin to shake my head in disgust of the situation. Shouldn't that representation of CHRISTmas be out front and foremost...before all the afore said...glitz and glitter of the  " holiday " ?  Not.. that I think there's anything wrong with all those things afore mentioned. I too enjoy all the fun,the beauty of the lights, the decoration, as long as they don't suffocate out the true meaning of Christmas ...which is and always shall be....Christ....Immanuel...God with us! As I continued my search...I begin to feel as if I too were one of the wise, on the search for the Christ child, the King of Kings...for the true meaning of Christmas! Was it to be found anywhere among this huge SuperCenter.. filled to the brim with so much stuff, " needed things ",but what,or who is more needed at Christmas, than Christ? When I was just about to give up,and leave with a feeling of forlorness...then....there I spotted it, a small ,very simple, very common Nativity. Not many, only a few were there, on the bottom shelf...pushed way back. I reached for one, held it in my hands and just looked at it, admired it for a time. I found you...you were here...I just had to search for you. As I set it back on the shelf and started on my way...I thought to myself...it seems to me each year.....they are leaving Christ out of Christmas more and more. I am truly not surprised to that fact....hasn't he been removed from so much already? Our schools for the most part...how did that happen anyway? I do know, but really...how could the opinion and voice of one over ride so many more? Even here in my own very little town, for the first time in 21 years since I have lived here...there's no Mary,Joseph,or baby Jesus in our town's display. I went to the City Hall to protest...wheres our Nativity? Their answer was... it was to old...beyond repair, but was that answer ..just another excuse for omitting Christ from Christmas...once again? I offered to loan my own,and was promised a return call, after a meeting was to be held with the Chamber of Commerce,really... a meeting had to held just to get a answer from them. I am not expecting to get that call.

May...there never be a Christ-less Christmas....May Christmas never became..just another " Holiday"

Its time we as the Church...his Church...take hold of Christ, and hang on tight, yet share Christ..with any and all that will listen, that God is with us,and can be in us...now...forever!

Blessings dear friends ...may you find Christ in your Christmas...always

More About me....My Faith

Our church is still in Revival.....I received a mighty touch from the Lord tonight, and I must say, God is real, I believe Jesus could very well be coming soon to catch away his Bride, the Church, 1 Thessalonians 4:17. I know most of you know of my faith in Christ, I have never held back on my believing in him as my Lord and Savior, and never would for any reason. My relationship with Christ is the very most important thing in my life. God comes first always.  While , I have shared my Christianity from the start of this blog, I have never share the depth of it, as to the doctrine of my belief and such. I feel I need to at this time, and I am trusting God on this! He knows why! I am Pentecostal, and have been for more than 30 years now. I am Holy Ghost filled , with the evidence of speaking in tongues, just as it happened in Acts chapter 2. I believe in the Gifts of the Holy Spirit , as mention in 1 Corinthians chapter 12. I believe in the laying on of hands, divine healing, and all gifts mentioned in that chapter. Do I believe you must speak in tongues to be saved? No ..you do not have to in order to be saved....all one must do is repent of sin and call on the name of the Lord Jesus, believing him to be God's only begotten son, accepting his sacrifice on the cross as a covering for your sin, in doing so ..you receive your salvation , Act 2:21.  John 3:16 ...For whosoever believes shall be saved. The bible teaches that the Baptism of the Holy Ghost is a gift, available to any saved person.
I am not trying to indoctrinate anyone with this post. I am only sharing my faith with you my friends. I know many of you are Christians as well. I consider any one of you...who claims Jesus as your Savior , my sister in Christ, no matter the doctrine you follow! There will be no Pentecostals, Baptist, Catholics , etc in heaven...only the redeemed of the Lord! If Christianity is not your belief...I still consider  you my friend, but my prayer for you is that some day you too will come to have a relationship with Jesus, and become his follower.  You are all my faithful friends...you have blessed me in so many ways through this blog , and now you all know a little bit more about me....blessings
