Family is one thing that keeps me going. I am blessed with a very close knit family,as far as my children, grandchildren, mama and daddy goes. These are the people nearest and dearest to me in all the world! Next are other relations, close friends and a church family that I feel as close and as comfortable with as my own flesh and blood...or in some cases even more comfortable with than blood relations.
In which case,I always look forward to Sundays...when we come together to praise the Lord together.
I have been attending the same church for the past twenty years now...over the years..people have come and gone and others have chosen to remain. We share joy and sadness one with another...just as any other family does! We draw strength for our journey and an abundance of peace for our sometime very weary souls. I do not know what others do that choose not to be a part of a local church. Is it possible to please God and not attend an assembly of other like believers. Only God himself could answer that question, but I do know what his word declares.........
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together,as the manner of some is;but exhorting one another:and so much the more as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
When you come together as a group of believers,in one mind and in one accord...some mighty powerful and wonderful things are bound to happen. Lives can be transformed, sickness can be healed, what is broken can be restored, souls can be saved. There is power in the blood of the lamb!
I am thankful that I live in a country where there is still freedom to assemble together to worship. I choose to worship the one true and living God....Father,son and Holy Ghost. If you too are a believer, than you are my sister or brother. If you are not a believer....his hand is extended...he is calling you..to accept the covering of his blood on Calvary's hill for the cleansing of your soul. Won't you come? Become a part of his family.
And live forever!
Come unto me..............

What a lovely post to read on a Sunday morning after church. How caring of you to offer love and encouragement those who do not already have a church family.
Thanks for stopping by my post and introducing yourself.
