I am so glad that your trip was a good one and I look forward to hearing more about it!!
Your son beaming...I'm sure it meant so much to him to have you and Kathy there, and it's obvious how much you loved being with him.
Congratulations and a big thank you to J.W. May God bless him and watch over him.
I am so glad you were able to make the trip. I haven't been keeping up with blogging and what a surprise to see that you had been so close to where I live.
I live about a half hour from San Diego, depending on traffic. I'm even a little closer to Oceanside where Camp Pendleton is.
You are a young version of me Shelley, I have not traveled much and never on a airplane.
I loved the pictures. This will be special memories for you and your son.
Hugs

Yay!! Looks like a great trip! Welcome back home! :)
This is sooooo wonderful. All of it, daddy and son and you and Kathy...what a special time for all of you.
Yes, I want to hear about it and I'm so proud of you, those tears are well earned! Smiling and happy the good Lord got you there safe and sound.
Oh congrats to your son. My husband and I are from San Diego, moved away back in Jan 2012. He did the church ministry at MCRD for over 17 years. I would go with him some Sundays, those poor boys were so homesick, but did not want to admit to it. He survived and can proudly call himself a Marine. By the way, my husband retired from the Navy. Always made for some funny jokes with the recruits.
Read some other posts. Loved the one with the grands enjoying being kids.
