Let's talk Toilet Paper........

Yep..we all use it ,I hope ;) So we might as well talk about it. Don't ya think? In doing so I just wanted to share another way "Simple Works". Put an extra roll in a little basket on the top of your toilet.
Store the rest away in a larger basket somewhere in your bathroom.

And for that handy roll.....if you have a shelf ,such as mine here, which is made from old barn wood....a big nail makes for a great holder and at no expense.

Something so simple works great....I think so anyway!

Over my years of raising a family and keeping house...I have (because of necessity) always had to find a way to make do. You will be surprised as to some of the ways I came up with of making this and that work.

Since we have the same 'Amish Proverbs' book, I can say - amen to that!

Your rustic stand is just perfect and it adds a wonderful touch to an otherwise less exciting home space :)

I am with you...always making do. We used 2 sets of drawers from a sewing machine (like your post the other day) as the base for a shelf on top of counter. That's the fun and challenge...finding solutions in unexpected places in inexpensive ways!

Just stopping by...needed to come and have my spirit touched with the music...I always am touched when I come to stop for a spell here...will get back to doing laundry and listening to the music.

Oh I love that Amish proverb! Wise words!

A nail works fine! I like trying to find different ways to hide things I don't want showing but need! And we definitely need toilet paper! :)

Blessings,
Tammy

Hi Shelley,
I like that Amish Proverb and think it applies to much more than just finances - to all of life! Today I am not as well as I would like to be but I am grateful for the health I have! And I am missing some of my friends but am joyful in the relationships I have at this moment. Thanks for posting this and keep finding good ways to make life work!
Love,

Lily

I like the Amish proverb. You've also given me an idea of how to store toilet paper when there is no cabinet available. I never thought to use baskets. I should have, as I use them with everything else. Oh my! Silly me! :)
