Becky's Home

I know Christmas is long gone, but I never shared these pictures from our visit to Becky's home in December. We try and visit each year (my daughter Regina,my friend Betty and I ) I've  been going since 2007 and my friend Betty even before then. We love to visit Becky, she is a great friend to us and a collector of so many of the same things we love. Her and her husbands little cottage is wonderful, inside and out. They made a move in the years since I've known them. The house they live in now was once Becky's grandparents home. They remodeled it to better suit their own needs and I think it turned out fabulous.

Tea Time Talk

There is just something about holding a pretty teacup and saucer in your hands full of hot, good for you tea. My choice for today is......Super fruit green tea . Most especially when the weather is nice and chilly as it is here today at 45 in the afternoon.  I'll be heading out today with my daughter to grocery shop. I'm cleaning my cupboards of unhealthy food and replacing them with more healthy choices.  Praying I can stay on the band wagon of making better choices , healthy choices in many areas of my life, not just the cupboards of  my cottage. My daughter Regina and I had an outing Thursday evening with a couple of friends.  I'm sharing a few pictures below. Its was Christmas open house at our favorite Antique mall.  Doesn't seem like it should be that time of the year again, but yes, it truly is.   Have a blessed weekend my friends,  Shelley  :)

Becky's Garden

Becky's garden is a little old fashion and I just love it. Many of the plants and flowers are from an antique or wild variety. She named them all for us,but I can't repeat them now...sorry...maybe you can recognize some  :) I do remember her telling me the very pink flower was an antique variety. Becky did tease and asked us to " Please, don't eat the Daisies ", refering to the old Doris Day movie...do you know it?  Cute movie! The movie was inspired by the book by Jean Kerr 1957

My two wonderful friends...Becky and Betty.

It was a beautiful day for a walk through Becky's little garden. I did not know my picture was being taken here and have a bit of frown on my face...which I have often because it hurts to walk. I wasn't unhappy though ...just in pain.  The young lady is Betty's daughter Heather.

Oh,and we were good and did as Becky asked....we did not eat any of her daisies  :)
Blessings to all

An Friendly Visit

Remember Becky ,my friend whose home I have been sharing pictures of here at my blog for years now?
Well,Betty and I and our daughters, Regina and Heather went to visit her this past Monday .....we always love going around the holidays because she does wonders displaying all her wonderful vintage and antique collections. She is also the perfect hostess, and spoils us with tea and homemade goodies to enjoy.

I really like this vintage plant stand...isn't it lovely?

And this sweet vintage tin tea set was a favorite of mine this year.

I have always loved this little tea cart.. from my very first visit to Becky's home years ago.

Becky and her husband have incorporated a retro look to their home over the last few years. I like it!

Regina and I thought these old bunnies were darling...aren't they?

Of course,I couldn't not take a picture of her sock monkeys  :)

The entrance to Becky's little office nook............

The picture of her desk below is from last years visit.....I love this spot...so personal and cosy....everyone needs their own little spot :)

My next post will show you some pictures from the garden.  If you click on" Becky's Home" in the label links...you can see other visits to her home through the years.   Blessings to all
