This was Tasha's Day......

Today was Tasha Tudor's birthday...she would have been 97 today. I wanted to do something fun and special, like have a Tea Party in her memory, but things didn't work out so I just thought I would share some of the same pictures I have shared in the past about her. I never tire of seeing these ...do you? The top picture is a newsletter I get quarterly. This is from Winter 2011-2012...I have ordered from their website so I guess that is the reason I get this newsletters. I always enjoy looking through it when it arrives, and I must have a cup of tea while doing so :) Just makes it more fun!

She was a fascinating woman indeed......who led a remarkable life...so different from most others in her time.

And had so much talent...in many different ways. I love this sweet picture below. Its one of my favorites!

This one reminds me that I need to be about some sewing of my own....we are never to old to learn...right?

Her home and garden is just wonderful.....

I am thankful some of her family are taking much care to keep her memory alive for so many to enjoy.....maybe even some new folks who had never heard of her until now.....she is sure to keep gaining fans even though her life here has passed on. Her memory will stay alive in the hearts of her loved ones and many, many fans for a very long time..I am sure of it.

I was trilled to receive one of very sweet little books(The Lord is my Shepherd) for my birthday this month, from my dear friend Betty. It is a precious book and I will cherish it for a very long time.

Blessings,Shelley

Thank you for sharing about Tasha as I have not heard of her, but love old fashion values and cherish the old ways.

Shelley, I don't know if you ever saw my visit to the museum...it is a lovely place filled with books and Tasha's loom and even one of her dresses.
