In the morning service of church,I filled in for a sister that teaches our Kindergarten Sunday School Class.
I had two of the sweetest little five year old girls...we had a wonderful time...a short bible study on the Great Shepherd, had fun drawing pictures on construction paper, worshiping with simple instruments, and singing along with a CD of Children's Bible songs...I tell you what...I had as much fun and was blessed as much if not more than those little children. The Lord said we must became as little children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Children are the one thing that is still so very pure, and innocent about the world that we live in today. Sadly children are losing their innocence so much earlier than years before. So much ungodly influence in this day and time, that is for sure and for certain. May God guard their precious hearts and minds...in Jesus name.
Lord Jesus, keep me humble, loving, and very quick to forgive, even as a little child. Amen
“I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me.” (Matt.18:3-5 NIV)“Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.” (Matt 19:14 NLT)

Sounds like you had a blessed time in SS today. I teach 3rd through 5th grades. We are a small church, so I normally would have 3 or 4 at most. Today I had 8 due to the change of grades for the season. The children are such a blessing to me. I have an autistic boy and a very hyperactive one. I am very bless by them and I continue to grow spiritually right along with them. Neat to hear your experience.
I miss teaching Sunday School and VBS,but what I miss most is teaching the older girls in Missionettes.Just today while sitting in church,I felt the Whisper of the Lord say I should get involved again even at this age. It's a new church to Me and so hard to get to know all of them.I need first to get in some smaller group.I Miss My old tiny church but we moved.Love Denise
It was wonderful to read your post. I used to teach different grades over the years and miss doing so. Children have a way of reminding us how to come to the Lord. As we grow, sometimes the cares of the world have a tendency to chock this simple faith. It is such a blessing when the Lord reminds us of how we are to be. God if faithful to help us, in our times of struggle, to remind us of where we are in our walk with Him. So many times I have turned away when trouble comes, but He gentle calls me back to that child like faith. Thank you.
It sounds as though you had a wonderful time teaching the little ones. Isn't it amazing some of the precious things they say! Children are such a blessing.
My Great Grandsons may tire me out but it's a very boring day when they aren't around. :o)

Hi Shelley,
Testing to see if you get this comment!
Happy that you were so blessed by being with these little ones. I taught kindergarten Sunday School for several years, and they were always fun, and still untouched by so much worldliness. Your grandkids have the sweetest smiles.
