Baby Two Dear..................

Shelley...a real life "Baby Two Dear"   :)

Some of you commented that I must be feeling better,as I was so very sick ...yes,I am feeling so much better! It seems to have settled in my head and I am dealing with the sinus problem and am still weak, but other than that...yes,so much better! Thank you all again for your concern and prayers,as I said...they were felt and appreciated very, very much.

Now,on to other things....as some of you know...I had created another blog "Doll Daze",but decided to delete it recently....I think I find it more simpler to keep this one blog, while including into it,all things of interest to me! With the exception of my Prayer journal ...that is mostly for recording my personal prayers, but still open to the public to read in hopes that others may be blessed by them.
Anyway, saying all that... I promised my dolly friends I would post here from time to time about my doll interest. If you have been knowing me very long...you know I am a fan of dolls. As a young girl ,playing dolls was my greatest pastime. My dolls were my friends and companions. As a child we moved alot and keeping close friends was impossible, for I was forever leaving them behind. But I had my dolls ...always! To be honest...I never outgrew dolls :) Other things took precedence in my life, and the dolls I had as a child were passed on to nieces, but still I remained forever fond of dolls and had so much fun when my girls were young playing with them and their own dollies. So , there's a bit of my doll history  :)

Baby Two Dear..designed by Eloise Wilkin..made by Vogue

As I have been weeding stuff from my home the last couple of years, I have passed on many dolls to others. I am still working toward weeding more and only keeping a few. The doll above is to be a keeper as she is created by one of my favorite children's books illustrator  Eloise Wilkin.

So as promised I will do my best to post of my doll adventures from time to time..in hopes that they will be enjoyed by all  :)

I've been weeding out a lot of my things as well. Sometimes it is hard to let go, but i always feel so good when I do. I know God can't fill our hands with blessings if we are hoding too tightly to stuff. So here's to more weeding out in 2013! Jean

Oh yes and pretty please. We must have time to play and have fun. That is one of the spots from your heart I love the most!
Funny, you are deleting your other blog while I'm getting mine going again! It's like we are constantly on the teeter-totter of life! It's a fun journey however!

Hello dear Shelly, I am so happy to hear you are feeling better! You still need to rest and take good care of yourself, and be careful about getting out, as you don't want to catch something right on top of this! That happened to me one year and it was AWFUL! Your doll is so sweet and I love those vintage illustrations. Like you, I LOVE dolls and will never out grow them. Have a happy day! Love, Paula

Dear Shelley,

I love the Baby Dear dolls and book, too (and anything Eloise Wilkin did). You have a precious collection, indeed!

Love,

Marqueta

What a wonderful post! I am glad you are feeling better! You are still in my prayers and so is Betty.
I am glad we will get to see your Dolls here now and then! Great!
I loved the pictures of the children, especially the one of the baby's first birthday with his older sister helping him blow out his candle! That is just adorable!
Love to you,

I love those books! My mother read them to me when I was little. The one of the little baby with her birthday cake is a special favorite. Do you know what the name of the books are that you posted pictures of?

Peace, Love, and Blessings!
