Doll Orphans..........

Looks like she is still dripping some water under her chin, from her nice scrubby bath. Must take care of that!

Yesterday Regina,my daughter, and I went up town to take a look see at the Charity Shop and Trading Post. It was such a beautiful day, just being out in the sunshine was a blessing. Mr. Trading Post Man knows I like dolls so, he loaded me with a arm full and told me to take them home and fix them up (his words) .  So I thought, why not...might be fun. I haven't rescue any orphans in a while :)  Orphans they were too.....there were four, and sad to say,but I could only "fix up" the one above. This cute baby doll was made by the  EEGEE Doll Co. ,I'm guessing probably in the 1970's. There is a Cabbage Patch that I will put through a wash as well, and see how she fairs! The other two? One went in the trash..the other I savaged the head. Sounds kinda gory , doesn't it ,but its the truth :)  The Donald Duck bowling pin was a find as well,as were the little vintage, made in Japan, dishes and the wash pan, those I bought from Mr.Trading Post Man!

Below, these two have been with me for a good long while now....I just thought I would show you a little hat I crocheted for my Bonnie, big eyes! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and the weather is warming up where you live, unless of course you like the cold of winter, and I know some of you do :)  It is still a bit chilly here, but the sun is out after a quite a bit of rain we have had lately.

Now you are talking my language! Remember Dolly Mama who rescued all the little random dolls of the world? I still have her and most of her children! If postage was not so dang expensive I'd back up all my baby dolls and send them. I could probably buy a airline ticket and bring them to you cheaper!!

I got your letter and I'm mailing you a letter back today.

I love you sooooo much!!!!

The little yellow hat you crocheted for your dolly is too cute! So, are you going to make a lovely hat for your other dolly? :)

It sounds like you've had a good time washing and fixing-up doll babies. You truly are a lover of all things vintage and sweet.

Blessings to you! :)
