Confession .................

"Let your conversation be always full of grace..." Colossians 4:6

I will not waste your time here any longer on such foolishness as to how or how not I decorate my home. I apologize for that! I will do my best to keep my blog of a more beneficial interest to you, making what I do share, to be more worthy of your time spent here! There are so many things of more importance than if I choose cottage, primitive,or whatever style to accentuate my home.
I am changing my focus, as of today as to what HOME is. No more silly fretting over to much color, not enough color...less is more...more is less..etc...etc...etc! I will make my home a dwelling place for myself,to suit my needs as best I can. A place where family,or friend can feel at ease... find a moments peace,a kind word, nourishment for body or soul. I am cutting my ties to the world, and material things......needful things are of much use, clutter will clutter the spirit! My spirit is free because of Christ.....I Shall be led by the Holy Spirit..in all my ways. Choosing to please and honor God ...only!

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can take nothing out.   1 Tim. 6:7

I feel release already....I think you will find changes here in the days to come. I pray you find a greater blessing in your visit than ever before!

Yes, but we are human too...God knows your heart is with Him. And even though you are decorating your home, we all can see your heart is with Jesus!

This is not a bad choice but we still have to live not over done but live like you said. I don't really associate with the world's doings..those are Christmas, Easter, and pagan holidays. I don't have a lot of friends. But having my blog is a release of situations in my life a place I can express myself whether it be about God or my household..There is nothing wrong with sharing...Love n hugs Shelley I for one love your blog because you do share the works of God as well..with love Janice

Shelly,
Don't feel bad to share your decorating ideas [whether they be more stuff or less stuff] with us.. I love seeing all your ideas.. It's so fun. And your collections of thrifting..We love it.
Your walk with the Lord is so efident in your blog.. God gives us peace with what we have.. He made us and made us to have the likes that we have.He made us all unique and different and our personalities so different too.
I guess I am trying to say.. enjoy your stuff, enjoy changing your decorating. and keep blogging the different ideas..We love it!!!You are very special.
Bty..I recieved a special Easter card, from a very special pen pal.. What fun.

You don't have to apologize for anything. We women we are always trying to spruce up or change things in or homes. That's what we do. Granted, a lot of the blogs I read are really way over the top. I have never felt like you are like that. You have your priorities straight.
Have a Happy Easter.

Hi Shelley,
I agree with many here, you are very clear about your faith being the priority in your life and your blog. You have nothing to apologise for. As Christians our faith shines through every aspect of our lives, including how we decorate our homes. If you were to come to my home, I would hope you felt both comfort and the warmth of God here...that is why we decorate our homes to reflect what is in our hearts. I enjoy seeing how (real) people fix up their homes instead of glossy magazine pics or websites of professional decorators. I think it is a good thing as women to take pride in keeping our homes, and it is important to be able to bounce ideas off one another. But like with everything else in life, we can get too obsessed sometimes, so if that is how you are feeling, then just take a break from decorating for a while, or start a new blog just for sharing decorating pics and ideas. (I have done that so that my main blog is kept mainly for sharing my faith, and I can still share my interest in decor and homemaking on the other blog.)
~Have a wonderful Easter~ Lisa

I think you have a real knack at putting together sweet vignettes with your dolls and pretty thrift treasures. I always see lots of things I love around your house and I feel right at home. I really admire you my friend. You know what's important in your life and you make your house a welcoming home. Sweet hugs, Diane
