If God be for us!

Meme and Vivian,Mexico behind us.

I went way down south,on the border of Mexico with my son to appear in court with him (child custody case) . The first thing I said to him as we walked toward the courthouse was, God has control of this situation! My son had only had four hours of visitation in the last year with his baby girl, and those were supervised. Its a long story, but this wasn't fair at all,and nothing should ever keep a good, loving parent from their children. Lies are a terrible thing and can cause so much discord. There are so many miles between my son and his children, that evidently their mother was willing to deceive the court, to keep from having to travel half way to meet my son for his visitation weekends.
She would rather just try and deny him his children, and his children their father, instead. So sad, but true. Anyway to make a long day,and a long story short......God worked a miracle for us in court that day. The mother did not show up for court, just her lawyer. While the trial was postponed, her lawyer somehow agreed to,without knowing what he was doing, to grant my son his full standard visitations back. It was his weekend so we headed to the children's home to pick them up. Mother wasn't happy about seeing father and shut the door in his face. Baby girl started shouting, that's my daddy..open the door...the door opened and she flew into his arms. We had to wait a bit longer for big brother to get home from school, then we headed back  home with them for the rest of the weekend. The case is far from over, but I have no doubt God is working all things out for the good of these precious children. I so wish ,we all lived in a perfect world, but the next best thing is having God on your side!

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31

The enemy is sure busy trying to destroy families...But that scripture says it all...Also,
With God on our side...No weapon formed against shall prosper!

Very difficult situations for us, but isn't it wonderful God is not confused by our lives?

Why can't parents just be parents for the kids and stop the fighting! Divorced or not.
Thank God he can see his kids again.
And grandma too.

It is a sad situation...but He is in control of it all and all we can do is allowed Him to work. So glad that your son was able to connect with his children this past weekend. :) m.

Praise God for this! You have given God the glory, and He has blessed you. So many were praying, this just had to happen. I love the little girl's demand to open the door, though I have to smile behind my hand because normally, we don't like little girls to talk to their mothers like that. In this case, I had to smile. But don't tell little granddaughter. ;-)

Yes, indeed. I always tell my kids that God goes before us. He is right in the middle of us and the situation at hand.

It is so unfortunate that there is a tug and pull from parent to parent. It happens so often and is so hard on the little ones and big kids too. If parents could just realized that perhaps marriage does not work for whatever reason but take the good in the situation which is the blessing of the children and respect each others. parenting skills. Speaking from experience in this, if I could do it over again, I would have done it different.

I'm so happy Thomas had visitation and I also can't help but think, the judge did know what they were doing!!!
