My Little girl's Room!

Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.  Psalms 119:11

While I was in bed for those days after surgery, and couldn't really do much else,I piled my bed full of books and magazines to read and look through. Of course,I got a lot of bible reading in as well! When at one point I became bored,I played with my camera, taking random pictures. Thought I would let you see! Nothing important, just random things in my bedroom......and all my books snuggled in beside me. I often sleep with my bible and other books I am reading. Don't know why,I just do!   :)

Country Sampler...love it!

Amish Proverbs...a birthday gift from daughter! I have enjoyed it so much.
Contentment and trust are characteristics of a satisfied life.

Little Book of Prayers... from one of  you, my dear blogging friends
But that isn't the most recent gift I received ...I still need to let out the secret for that! Check previous post!

From a long time pen pal friend, that has become as close as a sister!

If someone didn't know better, they might think this was a little girls room,Nope...its mine!
I do believe my little girl lives on though. Somewhere in the back of my mind. She needs a little comforting, from time to time!

Sometimes, you just gotta send in the clowns  :)

Do you see a much younger me,looking out of those old eyes?  She is in there, and she is smiling too!

I like your idea of a younger girl still somewhere inside you. Me too. We still sparkle sometimes with that youthful inner child. I like your book selection.

I think the same way,I know that young girl is still there.Yes,I have slept with My Bible,as a young single women alone in My apart. How well I remember those long scary nights in My early 20s,so far away from My parents and I hadn't met Paul yet.

You are youthful looking Shelley. I'd like to think that being obedient to God is what makes youth shine through....and innocence.

I love books...I grew up in a rural area and books brought me joy. And before our town got a library, I used to read school book club order forms and dream over the description of the books..ha..

You are so right. We need to turn our hearts to God. And it is only through His Son that we can be saved, there is no other!

So happy to catch up with you today! Congrats on your son's marriage, I wish them both much happiness. I was sorry to hear about Duke. I know what a loss that can be. I'm glad to hear that your surgery went well and that you're getting better. There's certainly no need to rush the recovery so go slow and enjoy those books and quiet time! Being in Texas too, I'm sure you've had the hot, dry days. I hope you're getting a little relief like we are down here. A little rain and somewhat lower temps. Anything helps! Take care and great week!
