In my little mobile cottage

Her hat is hiding the VAL,but this picture says " To my Valentine ".
It was created by a blogging friend. Don't the little girls dolls look like twins?  I thought so!

I crocheted some covers for the drawer knobs on this chest. I must say... I saw this idea on Pinterest and gave it a try, using my own pattern which I think I changed with each cover...trying to improve them  :)    I left the two bottom knobs uncovered since they were the natural wood. Yet,I may decide to cover them as well at some point.

This basket has been covered in crochet as well, but it was not me who did this work. I found it while out thrift shopping with my mama the last time I was down to stay with my parents. Which by the way...I am going to be with them next week for a few days. Anyway, I thought this basket very interesting and so it came home with me. I am so enjoying this devotional  " Amish Peace "  what a blessing it has been to get up each morning and read it with my first cup of coffee. I don't know the two folks in the picture....I just thought it was a neat find at the Trading Post here in my small town. How do people discard their relatives?  Well, I guess I have adopted them ...hehe

These curtains are now hanging in my bedroom. A gift from a dear elderly sister in our church. She made them, and I just love them. They are a beautiful blue chintz pattern. The scenes in these remind me very much of the Amish life. With farm houses, animals and there are even covered bridges on them. I wish I would have taken a better picture so that you could have seen these much better.

May you all have a blessed weekend,Shelley

Shelley, I feel the same way, when I see old pictures of someone's loved ones. Makes me sad. I saw one, awhile back, that drew tears. It was a beautiful young lady wearing her wedding gown. She looked so happy and yet it was a sad moment to think that her family could put a price tag on her. I wanted to bring her home with me but she was quite expensive, so I had to leave her. I always looked for her when I would visit the shop. Finally, she wasn't there and I choose to think someone came along and gave her a new home.
