Random images, thoughts and a special Prayer Request

I am taking a bit of a fast from the Internet, for at least three days, maybe more. I need to do this for spiritual, as well as other reasons. I have some things to catch up here at home with, also I need to have some quite time with the Lord....in prayer and studying his word. I spend alot of time on line and I just need to slack away from it a bit.....just as I do other things in life from time to time.....its always a time of spiritual refreshing to call a fast....not only from food, but from other things that crowd our hearts, mind and lives. These are just a few random images I thought to leave here today.....
They spoke to me in someway. I hope they will you too!

Praying and looking to the Lord for answers.

Studying God's word, letting him speak to me through his word. Allowing him to give guidance and direction for some personal matters.

I am going to be catching up on some old fashion letter writing ,and some doodling :)

A time to enjoy my home, pets, working on some unfinished projects, and maybe even a bit of Valentine decorating.

and some reading

Weeding and making a few changes in my home....an on going process for me.

Remembering to call up a few friends and elders to see how they are coming along.....

Prayer request please............

I am asking prayer for my sweet DIL's step father....he was burned yesterday in a horrible accident. He is disabled and was trying to burn some brush while in a wheelchair. One of the wheels got caught in a hole and the fire over came him. His wife heard him screaming and try to rescue him ,but she was burned in the attempt...finely someone arrived to help and Bobby was airlifted to Dallas with severe burns to his body...please pray for their healing and spiritual strength to endure. Such a horrible thing  to happen.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  Ecclesiastes 3:1

Dear Shelley, I so understand your fast from the internet....it can become so time consuming and the enemy then has a door(of guilt)to attack one. Praying for your daughter's fil-our son in law was burned as a child on his leg-needed skin grafts etc. and it still bothers him. I can't imagine the horrid pain. May His grace sustain and carry both the man and his wife.
Hugs, Noreen

I'm keeping your DIL's step-father in my prayers. Thank you for the request. I'm so thankful for our country's rescue workers and good doctors. Praying for all of them as they care for him.

Hi Shelley,
I popped into your blog today to wish you a happy new year, but in reading your post I will certainly pray for your DIL's stepfather's healing and comfort. May you also find peace and refreshment during your time away from the internet.
God bless,
Kim

I shall say a prayer. It sounds dreadful.

Respecting and understanding your media fast. It is nice to know that there are ladies like yourself who are still writing pen friends paper letters. Isn't it special?

I agree that there are times you need to just step away from the day to day routine and take time to reflect and enjoy. I pray that you will be able to do just that in everything you wish to do over the next few days. Just don't stay away too long, we would miss you! :) What a horrible accident for your DIL's father to suffer. I will surely pray for his recovery and for his family.
