A Prayer for Peace

I have been carrying a big secret, but as I consider you all my friends, I am going to share my secret with you now. I have been separated from my husband for over five years . I could never bring myself to speak about it here so I have kept it under the rug, so to speak.  It came about through no fault of mine. It has took lots of healing on my part to finely bring myself to make the decision to go ahead with a divorce.  No way was this something I ever foresaw, but its for the best.......I am now sure! I've prayed and sought God for his will to be done. I do believe I'm doing the right thing for myself and my family, but after saying all this...its still a very hard thing to endure.  October would have been 40 years together. Tomorrow is the final hearing.  I would appreciate your prayers for peace in my spirit.  Thank you all so much.......blessings

Prayers for strength.
Prayers for acceptance.
Prayers for you to believe in yourself and to understand that sometimes there are things that happen in life that we have no control over.

Love you and big, big hugs......

Someone sent me a text this morning that I'd love to share with you.

"No matter what has happened in your past, God will meet you where you are today and take you where you need to be tomorrow."

Praying for you Shelley and your tomorrows.

Big hugs!

Shelley, I will be praying for you...and your husband. I have been down this road, myself and it definitely isn't easy but I believe God wants us to be happy and sometimes things weren't ever what He intended for us. This goes for marriages as well, I believe.

Grace & Peace

I'm so glad I chose tonight to catch up reading my favorite blogs. I've been taking a break of sorts. I will be sincerely lifting you up in prayer. It is all about forgiveness and peace and I know our Lord will give you that peace as you journey forward. God bless you dear Shelley.

Oh Shelley. To be honest, since I've become Your friend (not on FB or Blogland)but a true real friend, I've wondered what the Husband situation was but didn't want to ask since You never spoke of it.What touches My heart so much is the length of the marriage. You know I've been married 37 years,So I feel Your pain.God is SO GOOD isn't He?All the pain We go through in this life, He sends Our eyes to look up and forward to a brighter day here in this time and to the future with Him- Praise God-

You are bold and strong to share this with us here, and I send you hugs and prayers of strength as you move forward. Bless your heart. As the hymn says "I am running to your arms, I am running to your arms, nothing compares to your embrace."
Jesus has you in His arms.

Shelley, I'm sorry you had to go through this. The pain is familiar since a similar situation happened to a close member of my family many years ago. Our God is a God of new beginnings, hope, and most of all, love. Thank you for opening up about it so that we can wish you love and healing.
