Reflections

These words below I saved from a previous post years ago. I just thought it would be nice to share them again. Home, what it means to me.....in my own words.

Home is a bit of a nest, don't you think?

Remember,I said I live in a humble home, but it is pleasant and gives me shelter from the heat and the cold. It is a place to come together with children and grandchildren to talk, share meals, and enjoy the fellowship of one another's company. To rejoice together when it is time and to grieve when it is time. To sleep when we are tired then wake to each new day with a promise of a new beginning...... After all isn't that what having a home is all about?
Where Christ is always the unseen guest and where friends and family are welcomed. I know there are many different dwellings in this world, big and small, mansions, cabins, cottages, mobile homes, new homes, old homes whatever they may be,if it is home then there is no other place to compare.
God bless my humble home..................and may God bless your home too.

With all thoughts of home, I also wanted to share a even greater blessing.
Last Sunday we held our church service at our local park. It was a baptismal service, nine souls baptized.  Including my precious granddaughter, Jalyn.  My heart was about to burst with joy.  She is a sweet precious girl, a kindred spirit to me. I am so proud of this dear child.

Jalyn being baptized by Sis. Elizabeth our Children's Church Pastor.
May your Lord's Day be blessed.........Shelley

So happy for Jayln.. Nothing better than our children/grandchildren, accepting Christ as their Savior.Congrats.

I so agree Shelly, our home is such a wonderful Blessing from God. I tell people all the time that My house is small, but it is perfect for me and hubby, because God gave it to us. He knows exactly what we need.

Hugs my friend.
