Safe in his Secret Place....

Its Monday again.....how do they roll around again so quickly? Wonders of wonders...how the days seem to fly by to me. Makes me wonder if I am taking full advantage of each one and not wasting a precious moment of my life. I pray God help me to redeem my time here wisely. I admit, last week...I spent a couple of days feeling very downcast and weepy and went to my bed. I tried not to be so but,I couldn't keep the feelings away. They were there so I prayed and got through them. I have so much to be thankful to God for and so very many reasons to be joyful so,I feel ashamed to admit there is still so much sadness that I fight continually.
God's Holy Spirit woke me in the wee hours of this morning and revealed to me that he is doing a work in my life. I am in a cocoon of sorts, just as the butterfly! There is solitude and darkness all about but, his presence is near and he is working to make what now seems painful and grievous into something beautiful and everlasting. It is for my own good and in the end that will be so very evident. He is truly a very good God...he knows my needs and answers my call. His answer may not always be what I desire it to be but,it is what is best and right for me.....of that... I am for sure and for certain.

"Surly you desire truth in the inner parts;you teach me wisdom in the inmost(hidden) place." Psalms 51:6

Happy Monday Shelley,
It's wonderful to be reminded that God is our resting place...
thanks for reminding me of that.

Sorry you were feeling blue. This too shall pass. Maybe you need to get out of the house a bit before the weather gets too hot and have a change of scenery--even if it is just your own yard. Hope the days brighten for you!

Thank you Shelly for your posting.. I just did a wee Bible Study on how much the Lord loves and cherishes us.. Sometimes, we just have to remind ourselves of that.. He does all things well..
God bless..

I know all about being in those "dark cocoons" for your own good. I'm in one myself at the present, Dear Friend, so you are not alone.

Let's pray for one another that the Lord will help us to rest, be patient, and trust in His affirming grace!
