WORDS

I have picked up a few little thrift finds here and there.I have spray painted some things black(makeovers)...made a few little changes here and there in the home...still going to therapy once a week. Trying to be a little more active and working on a different way of eating(low carb) as to try and lose some weight(much weight) I am not talking 20 or 30 pounds! Thinking on the holidays as to what kind of gifts I will be giving the kids this year, and how little decorating I may do. Also thinking I need to get busy on some Church Bazaar items. Looking forward to my youngest son coming back home from CA.(Marines,Camp Pendleton) next month. Settling down just a bit since all the grands, but little Jaxon are back in school now. Looking forward to watching my grandson Isaiah play football on the H.S. team this year..JR. Varsity. At least maybe I can catch the home games anyway! My doggie,Duke has been acting different the last few days, breathing hard and laying around much more..he is 13 and in his last days I am sure...not looking forward to that! I am thinking of making a trip to Alabama with my parents next month, but I'm not sure I am up for it. Thinking I need to write some long over due letters and pack up some goodie boxes to send to some friends......... and...... I am so looking forward to Autumn days ahead!!!!!

Maybe I can take a bit of this information I just shared with you all an create it into some more interesting post in the near future :) Say with pictures to go along with the information or something! Right now I am just trying to get my act together.....do you ever feel like you are going somewhere, but not quite sure where?  As long as its in the right direction, than I am well and good with it! I do feel like it is...just got to get all my chicks in a roll.....so to speak.... I am smiling and that is a very, very good thing....blessings to all,Shelley

Yes, Shelley, I have! The good thing is that thoughts are the genesis of action.....so that being said your thoughts and plans you revealed will lead you in a good direction and I know your heart is in the right place! I hope you meet your weight goals and that you are blessed with good health, my friend!

Hugs,
Tammy

Shelley, I had to laugh. I feel like I am in the same place, going somewhere but not sure where. My mind too is overwhelmed with all the things to do and plan for. Looks like you have some wonderful things to look forward to. Stay encouraged with the therapy and weight loss! All things are possible with Jesus by your side.

Yes I feel that all the time! I think it's always good to step back and reevaluate and refocus - or change directions, etc. It sounds like you are on a wonderful journey! Can't wait to see photos of the new furniture spray painted. I have a few projects I'd like done with spray paint for the home :) Have a wonderful weekend ahead ~

Today, and lately, being the way it has been I can surely relate to all you expressed. I sometimes think just the point of moving forward is enough for a day. It is so easy just to stop, and get bogged down, and settle in not so good ways. One of my favorite expressions came from a Preacher man, I know only as a passing acquaintance. "Press on, don't get tired in the middle, but press on." It was a word given to me in 1999 at a ladies meeting. It never fails but to encourage me when I think on it. So for me & you today, I pass it to you as well. Press on! Bless you in your efforts!

Yes many times, as myself I have been trying to get my act together reaching for a better level with God..Trying to be more consistent with Bible study and clean up my act. Having faith is not enough..need to apply more.. I have weight to lose as well can't seem to stay focussed on that though, just said to me a few minutes ago to pick myself up and go buy some things to work with, meaning food, I have a few things to paint but can't seem to get those done either mostly because of the weather...well here hoping that we both accomplish what is needed and all things are possible with the Father above...with love Janice

It sounds like you have alot on your mind . . .

I've been feeling the same way, knowing I'm going somewhere (e.g., a new season of life), but not exactly sure which direction or where this new season will take me. Stepping back to regroup and refocus every now and then is a good thing. It helps you not to get overly confused.

I wish you the best with your weight loss goals. As we get older, it is much difficult to maintain/loos weight. It takes much discipline and forethought. It's something that I am learning as I am trying to loose a few more pounds, then maintain that weight.

Always so much going on it seems...it surely sounds like your plate is full Shelley. Your family activities will keep you busy.
What a blessing to know we don't operate under our own strength, but His.
I look forward to all the posts inspired by this one...I'd love to see what you spray painted black!!
