Just wanted to let you know,Jessie and the puppies are doing find. I put her out on my porch in a kiddy swimming pool to bed with her babies...she wanted back inside at first and tried sneaking her little ones back in,but she finely understood they would be making their home on the porch.
Our weather is staying in the 50's overnight, but if it turns cold...I will bring them back in.
She is a good mother, and so very protective of them....she won't let any of the other animals near them at all. She really doesn't care much for us humans handling them either, but she isn't as bossy with us as she with the other dogs. Sad to say though, that out of the eleven...there are two sweet puppies that have deformed front legs. They are short and not developed completely :( I don't know what will become of them. They seem to be healthy in every other way,but I can't imagine how hard its going to be to find them homes like that.
Well,I will just have to cross that bridge when it comes!
Tomorrow is the Lord's Day....my day to go to church service and usually a good long afternoon nap, before a second evening service. I pray your day is restful as well, and very blessed!

I'm sorry to hear that two of your puppies were born with deformed legs. Poor things. Can you take them to the vet doctor to see what can be done for them?
I remember doing Easter eggs hunts when I was a wee maiden a long time ago. When you mentioned doing this for the children at your church, it brought back memories of my childhood at Easter time. :)
I pray that you'll be very blessed during your church services and fellowship.
Blessings!
You have some great looking grandkids, Shelley!
The puppies are precious! So sorry about those two!
Hope you have a great week!

Hi Shelley,
I was wondering if there is a Pet Rescue there that could help you with the puppies with the deformed legs. Maybe they could get them Vet. help? I feel so sorry for them and for you, too. Sending my prayers for all of you.

Hi Shelley,
Your family is adorable, and yes they sure do grow fast dont they!
My heart goes out to you about those two pups..your dog must be a very tender hearted one, since she is a first time mama and so protective.
Praying someone will have the resources to take those two special little pups and care for them...Maybe challenge the community to come up with solutions to make those dogs a special cart or something to get them around when they grow? I find people can get competetive when trying to come up with good ideas...Talk to your local highschool shop class teachers about a class project maybe?
Also, post about them at your local vet offices...people tend to be more tender hearted when there is a special needs animal sometimes.
Praying they all find good homes too!
