Housekeeping

I need to be about housekeeping duties today...my mind tells me so. My body says go back to bed for a long nap. Sleepiness and chronic fatigue are so hard to fight. I will fight, with a prayer for strength ...I will do my best to get some things accomplished, then reward myself with a nap. Maybe an afternoon cup of tea....wouldn't be a bad idea either :)   I have really been busy about many things the last couple of weeks, with doctor visits, having the kids here for the weekend working, stretching myself to help as much as I was able, and the puppies. I loved the bit of work I was able to do,but then comes the great onset of my body wanting to shut down,go to bed and sleep for hours on end. Oh,to feel rejuvenated and alive...full of energy and vigor. I can't remember when I felt that! It would be wonderful!

Make yourself a cup of tea, and go about your housekeeping duties while sipping a bit at a time. Don't try to do too much too soon. Just move at your own pace - praising our Lord that you can do it! :) m.

I say the housework can wait. Allow yourself the rest you need. I'm happy to hear that all your doctor visits are going well, just those will wear you out! God is good indeed...Enjoy his presence today!

Dear Shelley...I find that I get more done when I move slowly and take little breaks along the way than when I am all in a "tizzy" trying to get everything done at once. Blessings for your day! Hugs ♥ Teri

Rest! Your body is saying you need it. Sip some tea, have some chicken noodle soup, put on some good music, and as you feel able, do a little housework at a time, and don't get down in the dumps about the house work. It will wait for you.
When my grandson (good as he is) is here with us, I find that I am just worn out afterwards. Even my little dog gets exhausted. The dog and I both need to nap afterwards.

I've never been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, but have thyroid issues and arthritis. If I overdo one day, the next day I am too tired and sore to do very much but rest. I have found that chicken noodle soup actually helps pick me up better than tea or any caffeine drink or sugary snack.

Best wishes. I am seeing you feeling better real soon!
