My Baby Doll...........

Remember, I mentioned a few post back that Jaxon and I were going to a garage sale one of my friends was having? Well,my sweet friend knows I like dolls and so she gave me this baby doll. I brought her home ,cleaned her up and dressed her in this little flannel gown my mama made for me before I was born. Mama handsewn the sweet thing and embroidered the tiny flowers on it. Isn't it wonderful?

The doll is a Berenguer Doll, and seems so life like.

See the tiny flowers on the gown ? I am so thankful my dear mother saved this and some other baby clothes of mine. I also have the shoes I wore as a baby as well. You don't see many newborns dressed in this fashion any longer. Their clothes these days are so much more mature looking. Sad to me.

Very cute and very sweet. The little gown is just adorable and perfect. It is lovely that you have this dear gown.

And what a nice friend to give you such a doll!

You are so right about how babies are dressed nowadays.

She looks so real. I would love a baby so sweet. And your very gown from infancy? It's just unheard of for those to be kept. Lucky baby!

The baby clothes are such sweet keepsakes. I love the way your mom embroidered the little blue flowers on the gown. Your baby doll is just the right size to model them for us. I think that vintage baby clothing has much more charm than most modern baby clothes.

So beautiful and white and clean!

I have to admit, the Amish markets are pretty neat. Although we tourist bring lots of traffic, I suppose it is not so neat for them!
