Show and Tell..........

I wanted to show you all these really retro dishes I found at the Charity Shop here in town... 10 cents for each piece! I love the big sunflowers on them. Also, a gift in the mail came from a sweet new blogging friend, Judy! A little Madame Alexander doll...Little Red Riding Hood. Can you see the tiny freckles under her eyes? So cute, aren't they?
I just told this story to Jaxon last week.....he got so excited as I was telling it to him. He wanted to go right into our woods and look for the big bad wolf :)  He will be smiling from ear to ear when I show him Red Riding hood. I will have to find a wolf so we can play the story out with them  :) Kids can't get enough hands on play these days.... too much electronic toys to keep them entertained. I like keeping crayons, coloring books,puzzles,books..little cars, dolls etc for my grands to play with here in my home. As my daughter was bringing Jaxon here to my house to spend the day the other morning on her way to work,he said...Mama,I like going to meme's house...its cool!  Made me smile. What other grandmother has a indoor swimming pool full of puppies, anyway?  HA

I always get googly eyed when I see sets of dishes like that. Wouldn't it be nice to have a room just to display sets like that?
And of course Jaxon would love being at Meme's house. Grandmother's are FUN! Even Little Red Riding Hood wanted to be at grandmother's house! Ha!

You are one cool grandma with a indoor pool of puppies...that's for sure, Shelley!

I love having the old-fashioned way to entertain the kids!

LOVE those dishes! You know I love sunflowers. They look so cheery! Wow...what a deal!

Have a great weekend, my friend!

Good find! Those dishes just scream "summer" and I can see all sorts of salads and veggies and corn on the cob piled high ...and maybe some wildflowers in a jelly car in the center of the table. Cute little RRH...one of my favorite characters. Have a good weekend!

Great price on the dishes! That's the kind of deal I hope to find when garage sailing this summer!

I LOVE your sunflower dishes, and the little dolly is cute as well.

I like that you provide your grandchildren with productive toys to play with. I agree with you about children today having too much electronic gadgets on their hands. They need "real play" to help them be creative and think outside the box.

Blessings to you!
