Remember this? |
I went through a period of removing almost all the color from my home. In my weeding processes I gave away many of the things I once had as decor ....lots of red and color, but I am starting to find myself adding back the color to my little mobile cottage :)
I went from what you see below.................to what you see above! Quite the difference, isn't it?
While ,I don't imagine I will be adding quite as much red as before, but there is definitely some color being added to my home!
This quilt is a very good start. I purchased this from an estate sale years ago for $5.00. Its made from polyester knit so, I am assuming it was probably made in the 1970's. A good guess, anyway :)
If you are wondering what that contraption on my side table is...It is a C-PAP machine...I have sleep apnea ,which means I quit breathing in my sleep. That machine prevents that from happening.
I have always called it my "happy quilt" I told the grands if they slept on it...it would bring them happy dreams.
So with all that said...I am sure you will be seeing more colorful post coming to this blog in the near future :) Transforming my quaint little mobile home into a more colorful happy mobile cottage...boy,that's a mouthful!
Today, I am going on a little outing with my neighbor daughter ,Regina. To the library, a thrift shop and one of our favorite antique malls...just maybe I will find something colorful to bring back to my cottage! Blessings sweet friends....so have you been making any changes to your homes lately?
Speaking of colors...now is the perfect time to pick up some cheap boxes of crayola crayons...back to school sales have them for about .50 cents a box....I always buy one or two boxes.

I grew up with so much brown that I can hardly endure it now! Except... I wear brown a lot. Go figure.
Your quilt AND afghan are happy indeed! I love color!
Crayons are 25 cents a box at Walmart right now! I got some for the grands Christmas stockings.
