Thank You Friend..............

I just got a surprise package from UPS. A box of books that are dear to me,from a friend I met through my blog. One I have never met face to face! What a kind thing for her to do...made my day...and sure has cheered me up after suffering through yesterday feeling so bad in my body. God is so good...he knows what we need and just the right time we need it most. This is what the world needs more of ..random acts of kindness and generosity...I am a true believer of the" simple things" being the best things in this life...I could not be happier if someone offered me a one thousand dollar shopping spree...I would probably want to spend it at the thrift shop LOL. I have to mention too, of another sweet friend and sister in Christ at home now... canning pear preserves and has already offered to bring me a jar, to church on Sunday. Maybe you won't get this and maybe you will,but just this morning before getting up...I was praying and talking to the Lord, and this scripture came to mind.... Give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. Luke 6:38
I have never had a lot of money to offer anyone,but money is the least of what you can offer to someone in this life...give your time,a kind word, a ride to the store, a box of books ,if you know someone would be blessed reading them, a jar of preserves, even a cup of cold water.. to the least of these...whatever is in your power to do...do it cheerfully and graciously and you will be bless...he has promised it to be so. I say all this to the glory of God, for I am nothing, but only what I am through the grace of God in Christ Jesus.
