Vintage Now

Past Vintage in my home

Past Vintage in my home

I have steadily been working on my task this week. Cleaning, along with changing out some decor, from primitive to more vintage. I was just getting tired of the browns, and neutral colors. Had a feeling for some more bright, fun colors...although its that time of the year to bring out the browns, golds, and burnt oranges with Autumn upon us. There will be some to be sure, along with the brighter colors as well. I am a bit eclectic! I haven't taken any pictures yet, because I haven't done my fall decorating yet. Maybe by my next post...I will have pictures for you to see. I have actually been feeling fairly well this week, and have just been working at my own pace. I seem to get more done this way, than pushing myself. No rush for any reason anyway! Just do what I feel like each day, stop and start as I feel too.  Works for me! I am so thankful this morning,as we are getting a fair amount of rainfall...its been a while, and it is so needed. The dry ground is soaking the rain up as fast as it falls. Maybe cooler temps are just around the corner....would be wonderful. I hope your weekend is lovely...blessings to all of you...my friends...Shelley

The look I am working toward........

Oh I love the Cath Kidston style. By son-in-law's mother lives in England...very near to one of her shops. Wouldn't that be a wonderful place to visit!!

Glad to hear you've had a good week. I agree, doing things at your own pace is the best way. My style is ecclectic too. I think having things around us that make us happy for the moment is the best way to go. We are women after all, and we do tend to change our minds. Ha! We're getting a little rain too. I'm so thankful for that. Enjoy your week-end.

I completely understand about working at your own pace. I would love to have things happen as fast as they do on some of those TV shows about transformation. Well, I think I would love it. Maybe I couldn't even think that fast! :)

That's just the way it should be...at your own pace that you are comfortable with.

I have been doing a similar thing this week as well.

Have a good weekend.

I am glad that you are feeling good. Finally I am getting in the mood for some decorating changes, too. Tomorrow the high for the day is supposed to be 75 degrees. Yay! The heat and humidity was starting to wear on me. The Cath Kidston style looks bright and pretty. I think it would be cute in your home.

Hi Shelley! I adore primitive and shades of brown are my favorite, although I do love other colors as well. I also love vintage and a bit of that in my kitchen. Either way, you can't go wrong.
Working at your own pace is best. I hope you enjoy the process of decorating for Fall. I love it1

Dear Shelley,

I love Cath Kidston's bright colors, too! I love it when my English penpal sends me little bits and bobs from there. It will be fun to see more of your pictures!

Love,

Marqueta

Shelly, I am doing the same thing you are doing. Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning and trying to get things ready for a re decorating. *sigh*
Since I cannot walk and chew gum at the same time, no posts lately. shucks! I wish I was a multi tasker!
