Bittersweet

Facebook

Little Paisley was laid to rest the same day as my parents celebrated their wedding renewal vows. The wedding was beautiful and very sweet, but our thoughts were also with other family members who were saying goodbye to their precious wee one. Made the day bittersweet for sure. But with as big a family ours has become ...we are very blessed to have lost just a few over the years. In their 65 years together, my parents have six children,33 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and I'm not sure of how many great-great grandchildren. In all of these mentioned, they have lost only 3 grandsons, and one great-great grandchild, Little Paisley. They are no longer on these side with us,but we will forever remember them.

Here are a few pictures from my parents day.....I am so proud of them both for sticking together, through good times and bad times. Their love is stronger today than ever before.

I came back home on Saturday evening after the wedding with my daughter Regina and her sons. I took this picture of the moon from the window after asking my daughter to pull over on the side of the road. The moon was so beautiful. The picture does no justice for the real thing...it was huge and so, so pretty.

Blessings on your week dear friends, Shelley

A bittersweet day indeed, but also a very special one. What amazing parents you have and how wonderful that they are still going strong! Plus so very many children, grandchildren, ggc and gggc! My word what a big family!

From your photographs, it looks like your parents had a beautiful, yet bittersweet celebration. The cake with the pictures on top was amazing.

Did your moon have a ring around it? It looks like it does on my computer screen. Isn't it funny how normal cameras just can't seem to do justice to the glory of a full moon.
