Hello Friends..........

Today, I started working on the end of my mobile cottage that I normally just turn my head from and pay no mind to. It is a small area that used to be the kids space, when they were still home. It is a space that I now use mainly for storage. I had plans to use it for a pantry ,and a playroom for the smaller grands, but over time it has gotten into bad shape. With left over items from my two sons and other things I have just pretty much stuck in there because I didn't know what else to do with it at the time. Guess, you could call it a " catch all  "  space! I spent some time in there this afternoon since the weather has finely cooled down enough to stay in there without any AC. That area stays shut off all summer to keep the front part of the house cool. Most of its contents will be going to the trash or as donations for our local Charity Shop here in town. Its going to be a slow process, if I go at it alone. Gone are the days of getting a job done and over with in one day, for me anyway!  I spend a little time on my porch this morning.....such beautiful weather. The sun is shining, but the temps are so comfortable. Makes me want to go buy a flat of pansies and set them out in the flowerbed.
It is also good weather for raising the window near my bed, and taking a long afternoon nap ,while the gentle breeze blows the curtain softly. The birds have been having a feast at the bird feeder since I filled it up with sunflower seeds....I have been seeing some beautiful birds visiting there, singing their happy tunes  :) I guess sunflowers are a real treat for birds of all kinds. I have really enjoyed watching them come and go.
Well,I think I will take myself up on that nap I aforementioned . Don't think me lazy....I am just unusually tired...most of the time.  Blessings sweet friends ...have a wonderful week.

I wanted to share this picture with you all before I go. I took it out in the front of my property. The mushrooms grew in a circle formation. It just amazed me so...I had to show you!

Hi Shelley,
We feed the visiting birds sunflower seeds too. We usually have a huge area of sunflowers blooming in the summer from the dropped seeds. I think the birds are saying thank you and planting some seeds for me in return for having all the seeds they can eat. I haven't been posting or leaving comments very much as of late. Ashley has moved with the four little men 2000 miles away. It has left a huge hole in my heart! We keep in touch through messaging pretty much every day.

I hope you are doing well. Take care.

Hugs
Iris

We have a similar area in our home, with two rooms full of valuable treasures, oops, junk! They need to be cleared out, I admire you for doing it.

They call mushrooms in a circle like that a fairy ring. Been going thru things here too today.

Loved seeing your "Fairy Ring" of mushrooms!

There is a room like that in our house, too. I have all of my seasonal decorations stored in there, and I don't know what all else. It is going to be such a big project to clean up, and I just keep putting it off. I keep telling myself to do just a little bit each day, but so far I haven't listened to myself.

What an amazing pictures of the mushrooms! We have been going through things too to get rid of and clear out for space. It's amazing how much stuff you accumulate over the years, isn't it!?!

Hi Shelley, your post has encouraged me to work on my "catch all" room. Sometimes it seems overwhelming and I need to remember to do a little bit each day and then it will be done before I know it!

I had the same thing a few years ago. It took me forever to re-organize my kid's old rooms when they left home. They had left and stored so much stuff, and I would just end up throwing stuff in there too. Finally, when I knew they were settled with life, I started clearing it out and giving it a purpose. Just take it a day at time, it will eventually get done. Of course, I made one room a place for the exercise bike, toys and some small storage and the other my craft/project room and since they are small rooms they still stay a mess, but a different kind of mess ha!

I am afraid of what would become of my son's room when he moves out. It is so big I just might buy more fabric so to fill it up...or books and turn it into a library. Either way it would be 'dangerous' LOL.

I think the circle of mushrooms are called 'fairy circles' but do not quote me. Saw some photos online somewhere. Every strange how they pop up like that.
blessings, jill

How magical! A fairy ring...as my Irish relatives used to say.

Cleaning/sorting/culling...good for the soul, I think. Doing the same here!
