New Years Eve Chit Chat

I got an early gift in December of this little coffee/tea maker...I have really enjoyed it,especially for tea. So very simple!

This is a favorite tea cup and saucer of mine.

I love cream and a little bit of sweet in my Chai tea.

I was given a new space heater from a sister of my church, which I so needed. What a blessing! My son installed it,and my daughter helped me with some rearranging of furniture because this heater puts out way more heat than the old ancient one :)  We had to turn my desk toward the kitchen area, so I hung an old quilt to hide the backside. Made like a little room divider between my kitchen and living room...I have a small home, but its just right for me! The cats were my neighbor daughter's, which decided to adopt me. I let them in from time to time, but they are mostly outside kitties :) Their names are Tom (yellow) and Ms. Kitty (black and white). They are very clean cats...always bathing themselves :)

Plants near the kitchen window.

My Prayer Journal...I have been writing prayers in this for a few years now. I go back and reread them often...its amazing to see the prayers God answered...in his own way. I always ask that his will be done! I always like praying the old year out and the new year in.....lots of churches used to hold new year watch services...my parent's church still does this...I have went the last few years with them, but we never last until midnight :)  I want to take this time to wish all of you dear friends a very blessed 2014. May it be a wonderfully blessed year for all of us.

Your home looks so pretty and cozy! That is a great idea to use the quilt in that way. It displays it so well. Very pretty for the New Year!

Best wishes and Happy New Year to you and yours!

Happy New Year, Miss Shelley! I love your little home and what I love about it is that it is a picture of you. Things you love displayed with care and appreciation with your own special signature. Not something that gives the impression of not being able to "live", there. I don't like homes that look as if they are for magazine reading purposes only. I love the "Real" homes of "Real" folks. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to the next pics.

I'm so glad you got a new heater...that'll keep you toasty and warm. I love how the room is rearranged...clever idea to cover the back of the desk with a quilt!

My sister sent me a pretty notebook...it's going to be my new prayer journal. I also enjoy looking back and seeing how the Lord has answered prayer.
