Special Surprises for Christmas

I had something special happen this Christmas, that turned out to be such a wonderful surprise for me. On Christmas Eve,the Secretary of our church called me and said a package had been delivered to the church for me. I was confused and didn't have any idea what it could be. She brought it to the house, I thanked her, then came back inside to open the box. I felt just like a child opening a gift on Christmas morning  :) The sweet Raggedy Angel pictured above, was inside that box, along with a beautiful sketch book (for my doodling ) ,a little burlap bag with a tiny raggedy doll inside, and a beautiful Christmas card, with a lovely sentiment of words written, but no name...an anonymous gift. How special is that? Thank you,and a very special prayer of blessing to whomever did such a lovely thing....it touched me very much so. I feel it must of been one of you dear blogging friends...because I haven't shared my doodling secret ...except here on my blog  :)  So, again...thank you and God bless you so much.

I mentioned a few things in some previous post and promised to "share more later on the comment". One such comment was that my Christmas tree got a transformation at one point. If you recall , I first had it decorated as a "keepsake tree ",but mentioned ..it had met with disaster at one point! Well ,the disaster was that a door fell off the hinges...collapsing onto a shelf, then the tree...knocking it and the shelf into the middle of the living room floor, breaking some of the ornaments, etc.  This happened the same day I had got word of my SIL's death, and I thought about not putting the tree back up at all. But after considering it,I chose to stand it up right ,leaving only the lights on it..then later adding some gold stars, very few snowflakes and a few pine cones. Turned out ...I loved it...it felt so much more serene and simple than before. I didn't get a good picture of it though...my camera hasn't been taking good pictures the last few times I have used it. I hope I just messed with the settings ,or something, and there isn't anything wrong with my camera I just received last Christmas.

I received a Chatty Baby for Christmas when I was about 4 or 5.....the one below isn't her,but is almost just like my original. So I like to set this one by the tree at Christmas time. Of course, the Boston Terrier is there in memory of Duke,my BT who passed last July.  He loved Christmas so much. I missed him this year!

Another special something was that on Christmas morning I had visitors....my sweet DIL and son came over to make Christmas breakfast for me. I had no idea they were going to do this either. Little things are truly what mean the most.....I do believe!

Very special indeed!

I pray your Christmas was filled with some very special moments as well....blessings dear friends

That must have been so much fun getting a surprise gift. I'm glad your tree survived and that you were able to put it back up.
We had a quiet Christmas this year, with no little ones around. Something that this Great Grandma has to get used to.

Hugs

Sounds like you had a very special Christmas. Even the tree disaster seemed to come out alright! Your son must have given you a "gem" of a daughter-in-law this year, what sweet idea of a surprise breakfast. You must have a very good girl this year! Ha! Wishing you all the best in the New Year!

Oh, it looks like you had the best kind of Christmas and surprises, too. Love seeing more of your home and pretty things! Dollies and toys would make me feel right at home! Sweet hugs, Diane
