~Following an "Old Path"~

This is the very same post I left on my aol journal this morning.(Strength for my journey)I felt led to post it here as well! I hope someone will be blessed by reading this. God is the center of my life ! If it were not for him, I could take no pleasure in this life or what it has to offer, but because of him ,I love my life and along with the blessings he bestows each and everyday! You my wonderful blogging friends are one of those many blessings!

*********************************************************
This is what the LORD says: "Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls..." Jer 6:16
*********************************************************

Are you at a crossroad in your life ? Wondering which way the Lord would lead you . The above passage is so beautiful to me! I do desire to follow the old paths and have always tryed to do so, according to the Lord's will ! History has always been a big interest to me. I have always considered myself to be an old soul. Even as a child , I remember having an interest in things of the past. I love living a simple, God fearing life ! Which, I believe to be God's will for me ! I feel so content living in the ways of the Lord. I do pray I always make the right choices and have an ear to hear God's voice when he speaks to me. Following the guidance of his Holy Spirit in every turning point of my life. I do seek the "old paths" today and everyday. Really ,each new day we awake is a crossroad for us. How will we choose to live that day? What path will we follow? As for me I stand and wait on the Lord, who is standing ahead waving his arm to me saying, Come this way my child, follow me on the old path, and you WILL find rest for your soul ! I follow on and find , his way is the good way and I am so happy and content with my choice. Won't you choose to follow him on that old path today?

When the devil comes
knocking at your door, simply say..." Jesus , could you get that for me
please"?

The Devil came knocking at my door today and before I could ask the Lord to send him away someone else had let him in. He went about doing his ugly business of causing trouble and stirring up confusion. I went to rebuking him and pushing him out the door and told him point blank ,he wasn't welcome and not to return ! Unfortunately, he doesn't take no for an answer and is sure to come again. I am making Jesus my official door keeper ! I am also asking that he restore that which the Devil made a mess of, while he was a uninvited guest in our home.

~Thank you Lord for a peaceful and loving home~......
Now, that's giving the Devil a black eye !

We have one of the nicest little library's in the next town, over from ours, that I love to visit from time to time.I payed a visit there this passed Monday and checked out some lovely books, I thought I would share with you. It's a little brick building with pane windows and a fire place and big comfy chairs that sit around it. In the winter months they keep a fire lit in the fire place and it's so relaxing to go and sit there with a good book. I have been coming to this little library off and on since I was young and my children were very small.I have always found it to be a place that offered me much quite and solitude. It's a lovely place to visit and has alot of history about the family who donated it to the community. There was a father, mother, and a little son which have all since passed. The child was seven and died of leukemia then the mother died a few years later of cancer and the father not to long after. Very sad story ! Their home still sits in town and is just as they left it so many years ago. The little boy's pajama top is still lying on the bed from the night he was carried to the hospital , never to return. The home and estate serve as a foundation now and benefit many people. I understand the family had no living relatives on either side. Hope you enjoy the pictures and visit again soon.
