Corners of my Home...and Birthday Kiddos

Some pictures of a few changes I have made around my home. This picture below once had a brown frame,I  painted black. Also the lettering on the shelf was blue...I painted those black as well.

 Before picture below........

Two of my new houseplants...I made sort of a summer vignette, with the little wheel barrow, the redbird, garden gate(behind the Ivy),and a lazy little cat. I have a childs watering can,I will add later!

One end of the living room area. Can you find Pearl and Patty on the red shelf?

On the mantel shelf!

Found this bee skep jar recently at a yard sale! And the vintage bead basket, above at the same sale.

There they are  :)

Pearl and Patty

Today is my youngest child's birthday. My Marine son,Johnny Boy is 21! And on the 30th of May my youngest daughter,Kathy(the nurse) had her birthday. She turned 34! I am so proud of these kiddos. What a blessing they are to me.

Shelley,
I love your new plants! Good for you! Wish I was close... I would give you some starts from my plants!
All the changes are great. It feels fresh and nice to "move it" all around, huh!
And Happy Belated Birthday to your son and daughter!
Love and Prayers for your time away!

You are so good at finding things. The Man-of-the-House and I popped into an Amish garage sale and I found some puzzles with Bible scenes on them and sewing cards for my grandchildren.
I like your blue salt glaze pottery with the bird on it and bee skep.
Nice to see your family.

I like your changes...and I like the fact that you change things up from time to time. It makes a big difference in our point of view to look upon a different vista! Especially like the shelf with the pottery. Children are a blessing, aren't they? Have a great day!

Hello Shelley,

I came across your blog and have come to really enjoy it. Your home is beautiful and you have the cutest decorations. You did a great job on the frame and lettering "re-do".

I live near a small town west of San Antonio and can relate to your "Texas" descriptions. :)

May God Bless You and Your Family.
