Recent Finds....

Just wanted to show you girls what I found on my outing with my daughter and a friend. I have always loved baby planters and at one point had a whole collection of them, but I gave them all away. When I saw this one at a friends booth in one of our favorite antique malls,I just found it to sweet to pass up.

Isn't it adorable?

At the Hospice shop I picked up this doll , Sissy, by Effanbee doll Co. She reminded me of my sweet granddaughter Jalyn. She even still has her wrist tag.....would you pass her up for $1.00 ?
  Nor , could I !

Jalyn and Jaxon

I found this vintage set of bed sheets a while back at another thrift store...the complete set,in very good shape. I know they are kinda loud with their big flowers and bright colors, but I like them, and they were so much less than purchasing a new pair from Walmart... that won't last near as long as these good muslin ones. They sleep very well too  :)

Blessings sweet friends, Shelley

Sweet finds! I had an aunt who gave me some sheets very similar to those for a birthday present when I was barely a teenager. It was one of the gifts I remember the most. Brings back memories!

Dear Shelley,

It looks like you've found some treasures! I agree that vintage sheets will outlast the ones made nowadays, and the doll and baby planter are both adorable!

Love,

Marqueta

Those sheets are wonderful! That's exactly what I look for at thrift stores to become quilt backs.
