Want'a Peek.........

I added some more things to this shelf. I store dishtowels, napkins, etc. in the vintage gym basket at the bottom.  The little red chippy paint stove is a favorite thing of mine. Lovingly handmade by someone, although I have no idea who :)

My comfort zone...this bedstead is over 100 years old. At a time when things were made to last!
No cheap " made in China "  junk back in those days.

Thrift find for .25 cents, a beautiful butterfly pieced pillow case, all I had to do was stuff it.

Crocheting dish/washcloths...this one is so soft..I will use it as a washcloth.

Cottage Style...a .49 cent find from GW !  Not bad for a book with a $19.99 retail value.

It has some great decorating ideas within its pages.

Dolls in my bedroom.

She's another one of my favorites.
This is the only Barbie I own. I bought her a few years ago. She is the 50th anniversary reproduction of the  very first Barbie doll that was introduced in 1959. The year of my birth  :) I might add, I got her at a very good sale price.. as she was on clearance, marked down to $15.00 from the regular price of almost $60.00 I have never removed her from her box and don't think I ever will.

Hope you enjoyed peeking into my home today....blessings friends.

Hey, I was born in 1959 too! I had one of those early Barbies when I was little and kept it long enough that my girls played with her! I love that cute butterfly pillow. Great thrifty finds! Have a wonderful day.

Hi Shelley..first thank you for stopping by.
No..the dolls came one by one from artists on ebay.

It looks like you have been doing the same thing I have. Fluffing the pillows. Certainly less expensive than shopping at stores!:)
I love your country look. I have NO idea what my style is. Mish mash of this and that. Just a bunch of things I really like a lot. Most ends up with daughters.
I had a few Barbies but they ended up with my little great granddaughter who cares for them better than I ever could.
And by the way..my precious daughter Sandra that just passed away in February was born April 5, 1959. What a wonderful year that was for beautiful baby girls!

I really like that gym basket. It sure brings back memories of high school. I could use a bunch of those to organize my pantry. HA! Your crochet washcloth looks really nice!

Shelley, the only Barbie doll in my doll collection is the same as yours--but out of the box!

Vintage and antique...recycling...all things that are part of our lives here, too. There is value in almost everything but we don't always recognize it.
