More weeding, for a good cause

I'm here, all is well. I have just been busy around my home , gathering stuff for the youth at church. They are having a sale tomorrow trying to raise money for camp.  I made a rather large donation and it felt good to be weeding my home.  I even got rid of more stuff by making a trade with the lady from the newly opened antique shop in town.  I am getting a table for my living room, a quilt and some store credit to boot! My new friend, the shop owner was thrilled with her part of the swap as well. I loaded her up  :)  One day I may be done with this weeding process, but then it may just become an on going thing for me. Guess time will tell.

I have no picture to post as I am having trouble trying to do so. Is anyone else ? I do want to wish you all a blessed weekend.  I'll be back soon.

So nice you can help the youth from your church raise money for camp. Summer church camp is a great spiritual tradition. Enjoy your weekend.

Dear Shelley,

Weeding the home is always nice! It feels like you've lost weight, doesn't it? And who doesn't love that? :)

Good luck with all the new changes in the home, as well.

Love,

Marqueta

Hi Shelley! I hope my comment will publish. having a hard time getting anything to work with my blog.
Anyway, congrats on your "weeding" and your new goodies, as well as a new friend. Sounds like a great score all around.
Weeding is ongoing in my home. I really want to simplify our home & lives.
Have a blessed week!

hello Shelley... I love that you are 'weeding' your home.
I belong to a FB group where we Toss out 8 or more things that are cluttering our homes every day. These things are either put in the rubbish, recycled or donated to charity. We photograph our Tosses and post on the FB page.. and encourage each other...
It becomes quite addictive...
I love weeding my house...
Hugs and blessings ...

You and I did the same thing this past weekend! My donation was to the Christian school here in our town. They have an auction that helps the school pay bills and such. I enjoyed weeding and letting it go :~) Thank you for visiting the cottage my friend.

Hi Shelley. I am weeding also. I was under the crawl space of my house for the last few days and have pulled out old toys and books. I'm giving some to my kids, and I have 14 garbage bags on my front porch for a pick up for a Veteran's cause thrift store. After 3 decades I am finally "letting go" and it is a cleansing feeling! Your new friendship sounds good! Especially since your background is similar having a store in the past. I haven't posted pictures lately so I don't know if blogger is having troubles. Andrea

It's a job that not many like to do but it feels so good once it's done. Give yourself a pat on the back and put your feet up.
